Business Projects:

Here are some of the projects currently active at INTELNACOM in various stages of development and investment. Certain other projects are also active but these can not be discussed publicly until the deals are finalised and closed.

Global High-Tech Venture Capital Portfolio
The bulk of INTELNACOM's funding is focused on global high-tech innovation and a variety of significant projects are underway.

Knowledge-Based Internet Search Engine
At present, INTELNACOM is negotiating a substantial shareholding (30-40 percent) of a software start-up company in Germany which has developed a knowledge-based internet search engine. Its key technology includes fast and precise algorithms for the electronic mapping of documents to knowledge networks (semantic search) especially for the World Wide Web. These algorithms automatically merge and interact between information from documents and knowledge networks.

Mind Map Method and Technology for Internet
INTELNACOM has acquired an exclusive license from Tony Buzan Organisation, U, K. to develop an Internet search and display function using the Mind Map technology and its methods. This innovation will create a distinctly new online experience, offering precision and overview capabilities while navigating within the World Wide Web.

Bahrain Aerospace WLL
INTELNACOM already has a 95 percent stake in Bahrain Aerospace WLL, a company which deals with the scientific (i.e. membership in the International Astronautical Federation, IAF) and venture capital related issues of INTELNACOM's aerospace activities (i.e. satellite applications) as well as with its Bahrain related aerospace themes (Bahrain Top Investments (Non-Rea Estate)). For example, Bahrain Aerospace already holds an aircraft charter operation licence from the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and explores and assesses business opportunities in airport and aircraft, cargo and passenger handling activities.

Bahrain Top Investments (Non-Real Estate) Portfolio
A small part of the portfolio is allocated to infrastructure related projects which positively impact the Kingdom of Bahrain and balance overall portfolio risk.

Facility Management
At present, INTELNACOM is in the final stages of collaboration with one of the largest European construction companies and a prominent German architect based in the Kingdom of Bahrain to jointly establish a Facility Management company. INTELNACOM will own 24.5 percent of the new company which will be headquartered in Bahrain and will serve the entire GCC market with the following objectives:

    • Full range of facility and property management services within and outside of the Kingdom of        Bahrain, including planning, operation, maintenance and repair of facilities and buildings,        technical building installations, electrical and mechanical installations, production facilities,        machinery and equipment.
    • Ensuring and safeguarding functionality, asset maintenance and efficiency.
    • Risk management, property related commercial services and consulting.

Education & Training
INTELNACOM is currently assessing the establishment of a high-technology and engineering related college or university in collaboration with one of the world's most reputed technical universities. INTELNACOM aims to offer specialised education in the fields of innovation management, management skills for engineers as well as setting up a training facility and recruitment agency for engineers and technicians.

Aluminium Downstream Industry
INTELNACOM is currently discussing several attractive options to establish a joint venture with European partners to focus on the aluminium downstream activity in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
